Conflict coaching helps to guide clients through difficult disputes, either individual disputes that they are having right now, challenging relationships in their life, or developing skills for managing conflict generally.

Often, perhaps usually, both sides are not willing to come to the table for mediation.  However, it is still possible to manage a conflict from one side of the table.  Conflict coaching will help you to:

  • Clarify your goals in a particular dispute.

  • Learn to generate win-win solutions with whoever else is in the dispute.

  • Manage behaviours by others in the dispute that might be undermining the possibility of a solution.

  • Manage your own reactions in a given dispute or in disputes generally.

Daniel Bader, Ph.D., CCC, brings over ten years' experience in negotiation and alternative dispute resolution to his work.  He has chaired bargaining committees for labour negotiations worth tens of millions of dollars, served as a union steward for thousands of workers, and has mediated for the Community Justice Initiatives of Waterloo Region.  He holds a certificate in Conflict Management and Mediation from Conrad Grebel University College.
